What effect can a single player have on a team’s performance? I struggle to find an example of a pro player who ‘makes’ his team.  When Kevin Garnett went to play with Boston, maybe.  There is a strong argument for Kobe Bryant, and possibly for Lebron James, but now he has Shaq so we’ll never know.  Maybe Jordan in the nineties, but he had a helluva supporting cast...
